Job Summary
Ensures that dishes, pots, pans, trays, kitchen surfaces, equipment, and utensils are maintained in a tidy and hygienic state.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- Clears and rinses food remnants from soiled dishes, subsequently cleansing them manually or positioning them in racks or on a conveyor destined for the dishwashing apparatus, contingent on the provided equipment. Prioritizes thorough tidiness and sanitation during this process.
- Cleanses pots, pans, and trays in accordance with designated protocols, underscoring the significance of unblemished sanitation throughout the procedure.
- Refines silver items, utilizing a burnishing machine tumbler, chemical immersion, buffing wheel, or manual cloth application, contingent on the equipment and procedures assigned. Places paramount emphasis on absolute cleanliness and sanitation.
- Adheres rigorously to stipulated safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
- Maintains prescribed temperatures and chemical concentrations in strict accordance with established standards.
- Preserves the orderliness of the dishwashing area, consistently upholding safety regulations.
- Completes sweeping and mopping of kitchen flooring to adhere to safety and sanitation prerequisites.
- Cleanses worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat preparation surfaces, and other relevant culinary areas to the highest sanitation standards.
- Ejects waste and deposits it into assigned receptacles; applies steam cleaning or hose cleaning methods for sanitation of garbage cans.
- Effectively transfers essential supplies and equipment between storage spaces and operational zones.
- Participates in the loading and unloading of supplies and products.
- Carries out additional duties as delegated.
